Hey,

My name is Troy Glass and I graduated from college last year.  Through my 4 years at college, I learned a ton…  not just in the class room… but I learned a lot about life and how to successfully navigate the college years.

There is quite a bit that I would do differently if I went to college all over again (who knows… maybe I will ;-).  But, there is a ton that I don’t regret one bit and I’d love to do all over again.

All in all, my college years were pretty successful. 

What made me want to start this website is my little brother Kyle went to college this year.  Of course, I just got out of college, so I had a lot to share with him on everything from getting scholarships, getting into a school, how to make money while in college, and a lot more.

So, I thought… I’m sure there are thousands of college bound and current college students who can learn from my experiences, successes, and failures.

Why Should You Listen to Me?

Well… I guess that’s for you to decide.  But, here’s a bit of my successes:

  • Turned a 3.5 GPA up to my junior year in high school into a 3.75 before college
  • Earned a 4.0 GPA while at college and graduated at the top of my class
  • Earned 2 bachelors degrees in 4 years, and was given the “Presidents Cup for Entrepreneurship” while in college
  • Played varsity baseball for 4 years and balanced my school work, with baseball, family, and fun (3 time national Academic All-American for Baseball)
  • Had every penny of college paid for with scholarships… I actually got money back every term… so I guess I made money going to college :-)
  • I went on to apply to law school… but soon found out that I hated it… and ended up following my long time passion of running my own businesses

I don’t write all of this to brag… I was far from the smartest tool in the shed.  But, I did figure things out and made college as easy as possible for myself… and was able to graduate college without 1 cent in student loans or 1 cent of money out of my pocket or my parents pockets. 

So, I want to pass on as much of my learned “wisdom” (if you can call it that) to you so you can hopefully do the same.

One huge thing that this website is about is having fun and saving money while in college. 

There are a ton of little tips that I’ll teach you including:

  • How to buy and sell textbooks so you sometimes actually make money on your textbooks, how to find scholarships
  • How to tell if a student loan is good or not (I’ve never taken out a student loan… but my fiance is now in graduate school and I found her the best student loans possible)
  • Why it can actually be smart and responsible to get a credit card… and which credit cards are good to get for students

… and a bunch more.
